The Vision
The vision for Bike About was created by expats Christian Osburn & Paul Barron, who envisioned starting a truly innovative tour company in the city centre of Paris. They realized that visitors were spending too much time, effort & money to see Paris from polluting buses & on boring tours. So after years of living & working in the city, they set out on bikes to show English-speaking travelers the amazing Paris that only the locals know (without breaking the bank).

At Bike About, we know that Paris can be pretty disorienting, tiring, and expensive. That’s why we’ve envisioned a smaller, grassroots tour company, which goes further (than everyone else) to help travelers experience the real Paris. That’s what’s great about Bike About- local guides helping international visitors navigate the city with ease & having a lot of fun doing it. We’ve even been known to deliver bikes to hotel rooms, show travelers the best bars & restaurants in town, do private tours for a single person, and more…

The Movement
From the start, we wanted to be about more than just tours. That’s why we’re currently joining with the Mayor of Paris (Betrand Delanoe) to help promote cycling in our city, to help reduce the dangerous pollution levels caused by cars & trucks. You might think that we’re bike nerds, but this small act helps to reduce the greenhouse gases that continue to threaten our city and our world - we really hope that travelers will continue this trend to eco-friendly transport wherever they go in the world.
