The Versailles Bike Tour

Escape the crowds and discover the ultimate way to experience Versailles.

Biking is the best way to discover all of Versailles in one day, and we’ll be sure to make your experience stress-free, interactive, and tons of fun. Most other Versailles tours only see a fraction of what we’ll see during our bike tour through the legendary town, gardens & chateau of Versailles.

Just imagine… an unforgettable day of wine, cheese, Marie Antoinette, tree-lined gardens, Instagram moments, and a fantastic day biking in the French countryside.

See the day’s itinerary below.

Tour Highlights

  • We’ll start our day together in Paris at Le Peloton café
Feel free to come a bit early for specialty coffee and/or breakfast.
  • Town of Versailles
We’ll bike down the small streets and charming areas of this beautiful town.
  • The Versailles open air food market
We’ll stop here to buy supplies for our picnic lunch in the gardens, including baguettes, cheese, pastries, wine and more (not included in tour price).
  • Versailles’ royal grounds, gardens & grand canal
We’ll spend our day biking in the old royal forest, by the famous canal, and along tree-lined paths- where France’s royalty once walked.
  • Marie Antoinette’s Village & Farm
We’ll get a rare look inside the village the queen designed in Versailles’ forest- to indulge herself & escape the pressure of the chateau. This is where, legend has it, she dyed her sheep pink!
  • The Petit & Grand Trianon palaces
Used as summer houses for the royalty, we’ll pass by these two beautiful mini-chateau’s in the Versailles forest. Marie Antoinette, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Charles de Gaulle all spent time here.
  • French picnic in the gardens
A real highlight of the tour, we’ll picnic along the banks of the Grand Canal & enjoy our French specialties!
  • Versailles fountain show (depending on date)
Depending on the day (Tues, Sat, Sun) Versailles’ 17th century fountains come to life and make the gardens even more amazing!
  • The famous Chateau
After the biking part of the day finishes in the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the legendary chateau at our own pace (timed-entry tickets are included).
